The first important thing is there is no fixed idea or technology to create a website. There are millions and trillions of website for online selling, CMS – Content Management System, health care industry and lots many subjects covering. But there are some scripting languages available to create websites like php, dot net etc. So it depends upto you, what language you select for your website development.
Once you think that you want a website, there should be fixed topic for it – what you want to publish on your every page, every corner you are covering. May be your site is some information, ecommerce store, newspaper, video, audio songs etc – whatever your subject to the site.

There are lots of funda and ideas to create websites, but I believe to show vital information and covering services information on page.
Let say, we want to have one content management system for small users where they want to have updates on their pages – where they write content of the pages.
So how do you think – what should be there.
From my point of view, for any such content management site, there will be around 10 – 20 pages + news + contact us form with captcha + link exchange program. So what you say now, do you move over any ready made script which provides you lots of functionality and features? yes, why? Ask your self, but…
Personally, I dont prefer such scripts because:
- Lots of features adds lots functionality – which generally creates confusion – like what to do from where?
- Any readymade scripts – so confusing at programing/coding point of view
- For customization, you have to have to have to have a developer
- You have to pay high
- You have to wait and you get late
- Most important TIME
Other important thing I dont prefer such scripts because
- such scripts have lots of files with or without framework and so every file adds their roll and makes slower your site.
- such scripts are free so may be hacker knows such tricks to hack the code/database or anything…
So I prefer customized solution, why?
- There are very few peoples rather than say, only the customer and the company has that code. So only you and company knows the loopholes
- You can ask the company to QA – Quality Assurance before final delivery or purchase
- Customized solution includes only required files at loading time, only needed functions and related files, so can be much faster
- Coding is not too confusing but very clear and well commented so any 1-2 years experienced developer can help you at certain level of customization for your ecommerce store, cms, customized developed scripts.
